Upgrading old VPM Project

Postby JaeBee » Tue Sep 28, 2010 10:09 pm

I've downloaded VPM 9 Standard and was trying to use it with an old VPM 6 project to no avail. I keep getting the error "Variable RESNAME not found" whenever I try to open the project.

Is there a guide/app available to help with upgrading old projects?

Goto http://www.promatrix.com/vpmdocs/docsdown.htm

and scroll down to the bottom. You'll see all the guides for upgrades.

But they all look like upgrades for various versions of Enterprise. I don't know if they will on Standard.

There is an upgrade from VPM 6.0b to VPME 7.0

But no downgrade from an Enterprise version to Standard.

It's impossible to upgrade an old VPM 6.0 project to VPM Standard.

VPM Standard does not include many of the features of a VPM 6.0 applications.

You can upgrade to VPM Enterprise 9.0, however.
