XCASE ( Prof V 10.1) question

Postby rg400005 » Thu Aug 10, 2017 11:10 am

Hi, is there a script available, which updates a reverse engineered xcase model ( Prof V 10.1) from vpme 9.1 metadata.
Background : I don't want to add the field properties manually.
Long time ago there was a lib. Is it still alive and works with VFP9 / VMPE9 and newest XCASE.

Thx
BR

Are you thinking about xCase2Vpm? It was developed by Hank Fay and moved data from xCase to VPM meta data.

Here's the latest info...

I don't think there ever was a library that moved the Promatrix meta data to xCase.

Thx Richard,
I only need it to initially populate xcase with field description etc.
But I don't have many tables. So I will copy and paste.

Why are you doing this? What advantages do you see in having the meta in xCase rather than VPME?

Sorry, clicked too soon.

I used to do all my design in xCase, but after VPME 9.1.12 I have relied entirely on VPME. I can't remember the last version number of xCase that I had; have there been new versions that make it preferable?
