Only 42 posts about cricket - my priorities are obviously wrong and there needs to be a lot more with the Ashes series coming up this year and Australia just getting out yesterday to the lowest score for 3 zillion years to Pakistan. These posts obviously need to be treasured in any NG database :D

I'm not seeing where anything ever happened with making the old newsgroup information available. Am I wrong?

Before we shut down the old newsgroups, we suggested that users download them and keep them in their newsgroup client's database.

For those who want access to the old newsgroup info soon, how about if we open up the old newsgroup server and give those who didn't download the messages another chance to do so. It looks like that may be the best way to make the old messages available.

Sounds good to me Joe. I thought I had them, but everytime I try to bring one up, it gives me nothing. Looks like maybe all I got was the Headers.
If you make the board available some time next month, I will probably get the Forte' Agent so I can download the whole D--N thing like previous posters mentioned.

If you get Forte Agent, I can zip up all the posts since July 2000 and ftp the zip file to Joe (the zip is just under half a gig). If he agrees to this, he can keep the zip on his server and let whomever want ftp it.

Sorry, Joe, if this is a adding one more trivial task to your day. But I don't have that much free space on my ftp host.

It was available for download, but the download site was taken down earlier this year. There didn't seem to be much interest in the old forum content anymore.

Is there something in particular that you are looking for?
